Frequently Asked Questions

Which treatment is right for me?

A thorough intake assessment will help determine which treatment would be the best fit. Dr. Phillips works collaboratively with each client to identify needs, goals, and develop a customized treatment plan.

Telehealth or in-person options?

Dr. Phillips offers in-person services in Manhattan, 28th St. & 8th Ave in Chelsea on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Virtual services are also available and conducted over HIPPA-compliant Zoom to ensure patient privacy. Dr. Phillips is licensed to provide telehealth services in NY, NJ, and all states participating in PSYPACT.

After an initial intake session, Dr. Phillips will collaborate with you on treatment planning and determine if telehealth would be a good fit.

Cost and insurance?

Dr. Phillips is an out-of-network provider and does not accept insurance at this time. Superbills are provided at the end of the month for those who would like to submit for reimbursement from insurance. Please discuss with your insurance company to determine if you have out-of-network benefits. Sliding scale fees are available on a limited basis for those in need of financial support.

How is payment handled?
