About Dr. Zoey Phillips

Welcome! It takes courage to reach out for help. Sometimes, the tools and supports we have aren’t enough to create the change we long for in our lives. In those moments, therapy can help us understand what’s holding us back and develop a plan that will help reduce our suffering and increase well-being. Dr. Phillips’ approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. She is passionate about partnering with adolescents, families, and adults in the journey toward healing and believes strongly in providing identity-affirming, culturally responsive care at all stages of the therapeutic process.

Dr. Zoey Phillips specializes in evidence-based treatment for a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and ADHD. She also has extensive experience working with caregivers of youth who have behavioral challenges and youth who are neurodiverse.

Dr. Phillips earned her doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA where she was extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and evidence-based interventions for trauma. She completed her clinical internship at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA), with a specialization in Adolescent Medicine and received the award for Clinical Excellence. Dr. Phillips then completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Cognitive and Behavioral Consultants (CBC) in White Plains, NY and went on to work as a staff psychologist, consultant, and coordinator of the school consulting program. Most recently, she worked as Clinical Director of The Andy Center, supervising an intensive summer treatment program for neurodiverse youth, and providing ongoing consultation to parents and schools.

Dr. Phillips also has experience working as the assistant director of an intensive summer treatment program for youth through the UW Autism Center; working as a school psychologist in Seattle Public Schools and Federal Way Public Schools; providing therapy to youth and families at Seattle Children's Hospital's Odessa Brown Children's Clinic (OBCC); co-facilitating multi-family DBT skills groups; working for the behavior program specialist team in Seattle Public Schools; and providing training and consultation to school districts around the country.

She has also provided consultation and training to non-profit organizations and schools, with a specialization in culturally-responsive care and healing-centered community practices after trauma.
